When not being forced into extra meetings at lunch, Tatsuya found himself wandering around the rose gardens of the school. Really, he had no reason to. He could be in his classroom, surrounded by the many girls, or he could go and find the rest of the Host Club if he really wanted to, but, instead, he found himself sitting in the gazebo with his homemade lunch, reading some manga he had grabbed off his shelf that morning.
He knew for a fact there wouldn't be a meeting at lunch solely because he drew the line at having to spend Friday's at lunch with the club as well at Friday mornings. Not happening. Instead he usually found himself in the rose gardens eating the lunch his mother prepared for him that morning with which ever book he had happened to grab that morning. Today it happened to be Kuroshitsuji, one of Tatsuya's favourites.

Miku looked in her class room with complete and utter disgust. She put the hood of her robes up and headed towards the Black Magic Club room. It took her a moment to settle into her dark corner. She could eat here or she could just sit here and gather the courage to go outside and not be covered in her darkness. As President of the club she could call her members into a meeting but she decided that Friday lunches were for themselves not that they really ever had to be called to the club or anything like that. Friday after school would be rather noisy for a few minutes and then they were free to do as they pleased. This was the day she usually ventured into the host club.
She ate a bit of her lunch pulled out a romance novel and began to read as she walked out of the club classroom and headed into the garden. Unlike their previous president she did not faint in the brightness of the sunlight. She just didn't like it. Her sunglasses were on and her hood was up keeping her in a nice darkness that was comfortable. She found her way to the gazebo seeing one of her classmates reading inside. She walked up behind him and whispered in his ear. "Boo" She moved from behind him and sat across from him with a smile on her face.

Tatsuya was so absorbed in his book that he didn't notice the not super sneaky girl coming up behind him. He was just about to turn the page when he heard a 'boo' by his ear, causing him to jump, and frown a little when the girl slid across from him. He wrinkled his nose for a second, before closing his book and setting it aside. Thankfully there was no one important around, and by important, that meant the other members of the Host Club.
Yes, Miku was a customer of the Host Club, on occasion, but at the same time, she was still the president of the Black Magic Cub, which most people stayed away from at all costs. Tatsuya didn't really understand it much, and didn't really care. However, the rest of the Host Club seemed to care a lot, so he pretended to. "Good afternoon, Suzuki-san." Tatsuya said politely, as per usual, giving a small smile.

Miku liked to see what people did when she whispered boo into their ears. She could out right scare a person if she really wanted to but this particular day she was not in the mood for it. On top of that she did have to sit through a class with this person. She didn't think that annoying all of her classmates would be a good thing but then again she didn't rightly care what others thought of her half the time. She just wanted to be a normal eccentric teenager. It would kill her mother one of these days she was sure but there was no stoping Miku when she set her mind to something. She was in a relatively good mood today so really she was just curious about why the other was out here. The hosts seemed to be slightly different when they weren't in each other's company and she rather like that aspect of things.
Her smile fadded a little bit when it seemed that she had rather annoyed tatsuya. She waited for him to say something before she actually said anything else. "Good Afternoon Sugihara-san. How are you?" She really did want to know how he was doing. She smiled again and looked over at what he was reading. "oo I like that one." She mentioned about his manga and then opened up her romance novel. Not something most people thought she'd be caught actually reading out in public but it was something she could read and half ignore and still get what was going on. Mystery Novels were meant for alone time.

Tatsuya glanced at the book Miku was reading - some romance novel that his aunt would probably like - before answering her question. "I'm fine," He said, glancing out of the gazebo, at the mostly cloudless sky. "It's such a nice day," He murmured, not realizing he was speaking aloud. "And how are you?" He asked her, before nodding a little, his fingers almost itching to pick his manga up again. But, it would be rather rude for him to do so, at least in his mind.
He instead pulled his lunch towards him again, and started to eat slowly. As much as he loved his mothers cooking, he had always been a rather slow eater, if only to drag out the time that his parents had to sit at the table with him there so they couldn't fight. Because apparently that was the only idea three year old Tatsuya had been able to come up with to keep them from fighting.

Part of Miku knew that she was likely encroaching on Tatsuya's space a little bit. She also knew that it was slightly rude to be reading while talking to another person. However, she wasn't one to much care about little details. She still had her attention on him and not completely in her book in the first place. That probably came from reading scripts and walking around on set at the same time. After all she only got so much time to read her script before she was off doing something else. On top of that when she finally got her mother to let her on the stage and actual stage that was she had been writing notes while reading at the same time. Miku liked the live theater more than anything else. However being behind a camera she could do without. She hated them in more ways then just one.
She shook her thoughts as he answered her question. She caught him words about the day and she really couldn't agree with him. She didn't exactly like the sun. However she did like being in the gardens exspecially around the roses. But in the shade of the gazebo things were slightly better for her. "Well, sorry I stopped you from reading but a part of me didn't want to be alone." She watched him eat his food for a moment before adverting her eyes down to her book again. She wasn't sure why she didn't want to be entirely alone right now. In all honesty she could probably be in a crowd and still feel alone but she wasn't going to let her mind wander down that end. She looked up again a moment later.
"Did your mother make your lunch?" She always wondered about such things. Her mother had never once made her a lunch. It had taken one of the maids almost two weeks to show a young Miku how to make her own.

Tatsuya picked at the rice a second, before picking some up and bringing it to his mouth. His mothers cooking might not have been anything fancy - as fancy as a normal high schooler's lunch would get - but it was good, and he appreciated the fact that she took the time to make him lunch most days, even when he was busy and had to work many many hours as a nurse at the hospital. It was something he looked forward to at lunch, even if the rest of the host club tended to tease him about it.
Tatsuya shook his head a little, setting his chopsticks down. "It's fine. As much as I hate being in the classroom, having company is always nice." He commented, offering a small smile. Something that before this year, had been quite rare, and people had actually always been surprised when they had seen him smile. They'd always told him he should smile more though.
"Ah, almost every day she does." Tatsuya affirmed, picking his chopsticks up again, lifting the blue bento so as not to drop any food as he ate a little more.
